I cannot say that I fully comprehend the grief of Beatles fans on December 8, 1980, or the shock of JFK supporters on November 22, 1963. I cannot say that know the anguish of Black Americans on April 4, 1968, or the sorrow of Indians on January 30, 1948.
Yet, if I had to imagine, I believe their pain, shock, anguish, and sorrow resonate with the profound loss I have felt since September 10, 2025.
Charlie Kirk was one of my most cherished cultural heroes. His voice of wisdom, unwavering values, courage, and eloquent effective communication inspired me and countless others.
His murder wounds deeply, striking an unexpectedly personal chord.
May this violent attempt to silence his voice fail. There was only one Charlie Kirk, but for those of us who love, admire, and draw strength and inspiration from him, his spirit lives on. We must honor his legacy by committing to speak truth with love and integrity while engaging in civil dialogue—the only enduring path to a better future together.
Rest in peace, Charlie.
Your legacy endures!
You finished strong!
