Labor isn’t something we force.
It’s something we prepare the body for.
From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, induction is about creating the conditions for flow - physically, energetically, and emotionally.
When the body feels aligned and safe, it knows what to do.

1. I studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in Hebrew for four years.
2. I have a serious sweet tooth. Cake, specifically. Balance… but make it honest.
3. I’m fully at peace with a little toddler screen time. Saturday morning cartoons are a win for everyone.
4. I was vegan for nine months. It didn’t work for me and I ended up severely B12 deficient… weekly shots for three months. Learned the hard way that “healthy” isn’t one-size-fits-all.
5. Before acupuncture, I worked in the music industry. A complete shift and one of the best decisions I’ve made.

One of my favorite formulas for insomnia: Suan Zao Ren Tang.
This classic Traditional Chinese Medicine formula helps calm the nervous system and regulate the sleep cycle.
What’s fascinating is that modern research now shows it may reduce insomnia and anxiety while having fewer side effects than some conventional sleep medications.
Sometimes the oldest formulas still hold the most wisdom.

Every fertility journey is unique and this is one story I feel grateful to be part of.
In my practice, when supporting patients going through IVF, the goal is to optimize the body’s environment as much as possible. That includes supporting egg quality, circulation, and overall reproductive health through acupuncture and carefully selected herbal medicine.
Herbal quality matters. I use high-grade dry extract herbs from Sun Ten, a brand I trust for its purity and consistency.
Note: this is one patient’s experience and individual results can vary. Acupuncture and herbal medicine are complementary therapies and should always be coordinated with your fertility specialist and healthcare providers.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we talk a lot about what you put into your body… but what you breathe in and absorb through your skin matters just as much. Over time, harsh chemicals can contribute to irritation, stagnation, and overall imbalance in the system.
I’ve shared the products I personally use in my home on my ShopMy. DM me or comment the word “home” for the link!

That heat lamp used during acupuncture treatments is actually called a TDP lamp and it’s not just a foot warmer (lol)
TDP stands for Teding Diancibo Pu, which translates to “Special Electromagnetic Spectrum.” Developed in China in the 1980s, TDP lamps differ from standard infrared heat lamps because they use a mineral-coated plate containing over 30 trace elements. When heated, this plate emits targeted far-infrared wavelengths that are traditionally used to support circulation, ease pain, and promote tissue recovery.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, this warming therapy is often used to support circulation, ease muscle tension, and help move stagnation in the channels.
TDP lamps are commonly used for:
- Muscle and joint pain
- Injury recovery
- Menstrual or abdominal discomfort
- Chronic cold or deficiency patterns
- Enhancing relaxation during acupuncture treatments
The gentle penetrating warmth helps improve local circulation and can enhance the effectiveness of acupuncture by supporting the body’s natural healing processes.

Herbs like Yin Yang Huo can be powerful when used correctly, because Chinese herbal medicine is always individualized.
Libido is a vital sign. Treat it that way 🌿

As a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, it’s exciting to see ancient wisdom re-enter the conversation.
Not everything new is better.
Sometimes, it’s simply a return to what’s always worked.
