As we dive into the holiday season, I want to share my gratitude for all my friends and followers who take a moment to read, comment, like, and share my posts.

Over the past six months, I’ve been working with to help me step forward with more intention, bringing together my thoughts on acupuncture, TCM research, and the many clinical tips and ideas I’ve gathered to share them with the wider world.

After about 6.5 years in clinical practice, I feel that my treatment approach and style have matured and evolved into something much deeper than I could have imagined when I first began. Each day in the clinic is another opportunity to truly see the person in front of me and to practice empathy and care. This work continues to teach me every single day, and I’m humbled by the growth it brings.

I’m excited to keep learning, growing, and sharing more with you all in the year ahead. Thank you again for being here!

Neuropathy has many causes and no two cases are alike. Acupuncture supports circulation, nerve function, and overall comfort, and many patients find meaningful relief through consistent treatment. A full evaluation helps determine the right approach for each individual.

Winter in TCM focuses on conserving warmth, nourishing Kidney Yang, and supporting digestion. Many of the flavors associated with Christmas already align with these principles.

Cloves, known as Ding Xiang, warm the interior, ease nausea and cold related stomach pain, and support Kidney Yang which TCM views as the root of energy in winter.

Nutmeg, known as Rou Dou Kou, stabilizes the intestines, soothes abdominal discomfort, improves appetite, and warms digestion which helps the body process richer holiday foods.

Pine, known as Song Jie, invigorates circulation, supports tendons and bones, and has been used traditionally in teas across East Asia. Pine needle tea has been studied for anti inflammatory and potential anti aging effects.

Nature has always guided seasonal nourishment. These herbs simply highlight how winter asks us to support warmth, digestion, and inner resilience.

I love to add stim to a treatment for an extra boost! Similar to a TENS machine, I clip the stim on to the needles and it sends little taps/electrical pulses through to help release extra tense muscles. These machines are also great for generally redirecting pain signals in the body as well as stimulating nerve regeneration. I especially love to use the handheld stim to treat neuropathy.
