לפני שהאור נדלק מעל שולחן הניתוחים, יש שלב אחד שהוא הבסיס לכל מה שיתרחש אחר-כך: תכנון מדויק. שלב שנבנה בשקט, מתוך ריכוז מלא, שבו כל פרט מקבל את התשומת הלב המקסימלית אני יורדת לעומקם של הפרטים - בוחנת צילומים, מדמה תרחישים ובונה מערך עבודה שאין בו מקום להפתעות.
מצבו הרפואי של המטופל/ת הוא נקודת המוצא, ומתוכה נבנה מהלך הניתוח בהתאמה מלאה למידותיהם האישיות ולצרכים המדויקים של המקרה.
אני מציבה לעצמי את כל השאלות החשובות, עד שלא נותר אף סימן שאלה.
כאשר התכנון נכון, הניתוח כבר חי בתוכי: הידיים מבצעות את מה שהמוח והלב כבר מבינים לעומק. ואז מגיע הרגע השקט ביותר בחדר הניתוח.
כולם כבר נמצאים בעמדותיהם, המכשירים ערוכים, זו השנייה שבה הידע, הניסיון והאינטואיציה הכירורגית והעין האסתטית מתאחדים לכדי מיקוד חד.
