SNMC, Agra Achieves National Recognition Again: 7 PG Theses Awarded DHR-ICMR Grants.

Four UG MBBS Students from SNMC Agra Secure STS ICMR Project Selection

Sarojini Naidu Medical College (SNMC), Agra, has added another feather to its cap as four undergraduate MBBS students of the 2023 batch have been selected for the prestigious Short-Term Studentship (STS) program of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).

The selected projects reflect the diverse areas of research being undertaken at SNMC Agra, mentored by experienced faculty members:

Title: “Prevalence of Irritable Bowel Syndrome and its Association with Perceived Stress among Medical Students using Rome IV Diagnostic Criteria: A Cross-sectional Study.”

Title: “Yoga for Mind and Body: A Quasi-Experimental Study to Assess the Impact of Short-Term Yoga on Cognitive Functions and Biomarker Levels in Stressed Individuals.”

Title: “Challenges in Timely Arrival during the Golden Hour of Road Traffic Accident Victims and its Impact on Mortality.”

Title: “Impact of Digital Pre-Test and Post-Test Counselling on Knowledge, Risk Perception, and Decision-Making in Thalassemia Screening among Antenatal Women.”

**सरोजिनी नायडू मेडिकल कॉलेज, आगरा में पहली एंडोवैस्कुलर न्यूरो-इंटरवेंशन प्रक्रिया सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न**

**आगरा:** सरोजिनी नायडू मेडिकल कॉलेज (SNMC) ने चिकित्सा के क्षेत्र में एक महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धि हासिल की है। एस एन कॉलेज के PMSSY विंग के कार्डियक कैथ लैब में पहली एंडोवैस्कुलर न्यूरो-इंटरवेंशन प्रक्रिया (एंटीरियर कम्युनिकेटिंग आर्टरी एन्यूरिज्म कॉइलिंग) सफलतापूर्वक पूरी की गई।

यह जटिल और जीवन-रक्षक प्रक्रिया, जो आमतौर पर दिल्ली जैसे शहरों में लगभग ₹15 लाख की लागत पर की जाती है, **आयुष्मान योजना** के तहत पूरी तरह से **निःशुल्क** की गई।

यह सफलता न्यूरोसर्जरी, कार्डियोलॉजी, इंटरवेंशनल न्यूरोरेडियोलॉजी, इंटरवेंशनल रेडियोलॉजी, एनेस्थिसियोलॉजी और क्रिटिकल केयर विभागों की एक समर्पित और बहु-अनुशासनात्मक टीम के संयुक्त प्रयासों का परिणाम है।

**राष्ट्रीय स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह और सम्मान कार्यक्रम**

**आगरा:** सरोजिनी नायडू मेडिकल कॉलेज में 15 अगस्त, 2025 को राष्ट्रीय स्वतंत्रता दिवस समारोह और सम्मान कार्यक्रम का आयोजन अत्यंत हर्षोल्लास के साथ किया गया। यह कार्यक्रम कॉलेज के केन्द्रीय पुस्तकालय भवन के सामने सुबह 8 बजे शुरू हुआ।

इस अवसर पर, प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. प्रशांत गुप्ता ने ध्वजारोहण किया, जिसके बाद सभी ने राष्ट्रगान गाया और एक साथ शपथ ली। इसके बाद, सरोजिनी नायडू की प्रतिमा पर माल्यार्पण किया गया।

समारोह में अस्थि रोग विभाग के विभागाध्यक्ष डॉ. अमृत गोयल और प्रमुख अधीक्षक डॉ बृजेश शर्मा सहित कई गणमान्य व्यक्तियों ने अपने विचार व्यक्त किए। प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. प्रशांत गुप्ता ने इस पावन अवसर पर एक प्रेरणादायक संबोधन दिया।

**एसएन मेडिकल कॉलेज, आगरा में एचआईवी टेस्टिंग पर एक दिवसीय वर्कशॉप का आयोजन**

**आगरा:** 20 अगस्त, 2025 को सरोजिनी नायडू मेडिकल कॉलेज (SNMC), आगरा के माइक्रोबायोलॉजी विभाग में उत्तर प्रदेश स्टेट एड्स सोसाइटी, लखनऊ द्वारा स्थापित स्टेट रेफरेंस लैबोरेटरी के सहयोग से एक दिवसीय वर्कशॉप का आयोजन किया गया।

इस कार्यशाला में आगरा, मथुरा, फ़िरोज़ाबाद, मैनपुरी और हाथरस जिलों के जिला चिकित्सालयों, जिला महिला चिकित्सालयों और सामुदायिक स्वास्थ्य केंद्रों में संचालित 25 केंद्रों के **इंटीग्रेटेड काउंसलिंग एंड टेस्टिंग सेंटर्स (ICTC)** और **प्रिवेंशन ऑफ पेरेंटल ट्रांसमिशन ऑफ एचआईवी (PPTCT)** लैब में कार्यरत लैब तकनीशियनों ने भाग लिया।

वर्कशॉप का उद्घाटन कॉलेज के प्राचार्य प्रोफेसर **डॉ. प्रशांत गुप्ता** और सह-प्राचार्य **डॉ. टी.पी. सिंह** ने किया। वर्कशॉप के दौरान, प्रभारी अधिकारी **डॉ. आरती अग्रवाल** ने सभी प्रतिभागियों को **एचआईवी पॉजिटिव माताओं के बच्चों की डीबीएस (ड्राइड ब्लड स्पॉट) टेस्टिंग** और इससे संबंधित दिशानिर्देशों के बारे में जानकारी दी। इस दौरान डीबीएस टेस्टिंग के लिए सैंपल कलेक्शन की हैंड्स-ऑन ट्रेनिंग भी कराई गई, जिससे तकनीशियनों को व्यावहारिक अनुभव मिल सका।

इस अवसर पर, **NIB लैब नोएडा (NRL लैब)** से प्राप्त प्रोफिशिएंसी पैनल के सैंपल्स का वितरण भी किया गया, जिससे क्वालिटी कंट्रोल सुनिश्चित करने में मदद मिलेगी। माइक्रोबायोलॉजी विभाग के विभागाध्यक्ष **डॉ. अंकुर गोयल** ने सभी को क्वालिटी टेस्टिंग के महत्व के बारे में बताया, ताकि जांच के नतीजे सटीक और विश्वसनीय हों।

Under guidance and leadership of Principal & Dean, Prof. Prashant Gupta, SNMC Agra,
Dept of Obs. & Gynae. Organised a Live Laparoscopy and Hysteroscopy Workshop. It was under aegis of Fogsi Eagle project to give experience of Endoscopy to Post graduate students and Faculty members of Medical Colleges. After 20 years Gynae Dept organised a Live Surgical Workshop.
Six challenging surgeries were performed by Dr. Amit Tandon and Dr. Priyanka Garg from Meerut. Anaesthesia dept faculty members- Dr Yogita, Dr. Arpita, Dr. Supriya, Dr. Manjari and Dr. Rajni and Residents provided all the support for the event.
It was attended full house by Agra Gynae Society members. Faculty members Dr. Shikha, Dr. Poonam, Dr. Urvashi, Dr. Akansha, Dr. Anu, Dr. Rekha,Dr. Divya and Dr. Neelam also gave their support for the success of the program.
