New Year Reflection 🌅
As this year comes to a close, I find myself pausing—not to count achievements, but to acknowledge a quiet truth.
Somewhere between responsibilities, work commitments, and taking care of everything else, I forgot to take care of myself.
Even something as simple and life-giving as sitting in the sunlight or walking for a few minutes became rare.
Because of my daily routine
My daily routine looks something like this:
• 9:00 a.m. – Work begins
• 10:30–11:00 a.m. – Breakfast
• 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. – Work alongside household responsibilities
• 4:00–4:30 p.m. – Lunch
• 4:30–6 p.m. – Break from work or time to step out and socialise occasionally.
• 6pm - 9:30 p.m. – Back to work
• 9:00–9:30 p.m. – Dinner9:30 to 11 pm ( gain work if l missed my morning hours for some reason)
• Late evenings – Family time or personal time until 12:00–12:30 a.m.
This year taught me discipline, resilience, and responsibility.
But it also gently reminded me that productivity without balance slowly drains the soul.
Health truly is the greatest wealth.
No amount of money, success, or recognition can replace peace of mind, a healthy body, and moments lived consciously.
I once heard a line that stayed with me:
“The money left in your bank account when you leave this world is the time you wasted earning it instead of enjoying life.”
There’s a beautiful teaching from Guru Granth Sahib Ji:
What is meant for you cannot be taken away, and with divine grace, you may even receive what wasn’t written for you.
This doesn’t mean we stop working hard.
It means we stop overworking at the cost of our well-being.
As I step into the New Year, my intention is simple yet powerful:
✨ More sunlight
✨ More movement
✨ More presence
✨ More balance
✨ More time for myself—without guilt
Because life isn’t meant to be survived.
It’s meant to be lived.
Spiritual New Year Affirmation ✨
I choose balance over burnout.
I honour my body, my time, and my energy.
I trust divine timing and allow life to flow with ease, grace, and good health.
