Mental health is still a Taboo and lot of people are unaware or unwilling to talk about it. One of the reasons I started Soul Unfold was to break this taboo.
To reach as many people in need as possible I'm starting a new initiative where I intend to incentivise referrals & spreading awareness. Sometimes, their lack of awareness is not because they don't care or aren't bothered - but because of the lack of communication.

If you have experienced an absent parent, bullying at work or school, and serious illness in life, it is valid to connect your mental health struggles with your life experiences. You cannot set your experiences beside another person’s trauma and determine which person is more “worthy” of trauma-related symptoms or therapy. Minimizing the emotional suffering of any event does not remove the cumulative damage that occurs over time. Your story matters.

A few questions to ask yourself to understand if your therapist is the right fit.

• Do you feel at ease or does your therapist makes you feel at ease relatively quickly?

• Do you feel your therapist "get's" you and your concern? Do you find your therapist trustworthy and understanding?

• Do you find your sessions engaging and productive?

• Do you believe your therapist has the potential to provide you with the help you're looking for? Can they help you meet those goals?

When it comes to breaking a pattern, first step is to always understanding why it needs to be fixed. That way, you will see the benefit and have a goal to work toward from the very beginning.
And as hard as this sounds, it is essential to bettering ourselves and growing. It’s so easy and comfortable to perpetuate our unhealthy patterns by taking no action at all, but eventually we will realize that we aren’t truly happy and that we need something more. That’s where breaking the pattern comes in. It will help us to not only become better versions of ourselves, but it will attract people, relationships, and things into our lives that are a better, healthier fit for us. Breaking the unhealthy patterns in our lives can free us from guilt, from anxiety, from addiction, from feeling like a burden, and so much more.

Pretend for just a moment that we live in a world without mirrors, selfies, and body-snarking.What would it be like to think of your body not in terms of how it looks, but with the awe and respect it deserves for being a thinking, breathing, heart-pounding, disease-fighting miracle machine?

If we could adopt that perspective daily, maybe we’d be less susceptible to some societal ideals that create a harmful, negative body image.
