Stages of Fracture healing:-

Fracture is defined as Break in continuity of bone...

Following are the stages of Fracture healing:-

1) Stage of hematoma:-
In this stage the there is formation of the heamtoma(blood clot) around fracture ends...
Then there is necrosis of Fracture ends due to which there is sensitisation of precursor cells.... this stage lasts for 7 days

2) Stage of Granulation:-
In this stage the precursor cells develop into different types of cells like Osteoblasts,firbroblasts...they form Granulation tissue between the fracture ends...the hematoma give rise to fibrous mesh which gives loose structural integrity...
This stage lasts for 2-3 weeks.

3) Stage of Callus:- The Granulation tissue further differentiate into osteoblasts... these cells forms an intercellular matrix in which the calcium salts get deposited...
This results in formation of callus...
Callus formation is first sign of union...
This stage lasts for 4-12 weeks...

4) Stage of remodeling:-
In this stage the Callus gets replaced by mature bone. It is a slow process and it takes 1-4 years...

5) stage of modelling:-
In this stage the bone gets it's original strength... the fracture site becomes indistinguishable from parent bone...

♡ BODY TYPES ♡

1) Ectomorphs:-

â—‹ Ectomorphs have BMI lesser than normal.

â—‹ Such people have fast metabolic rate so it makes difficult for them to gain body mass.
They have lean and thin body built with long bones and small mucles.

2) Mesomorphs:-

â—‹ Mesomorphs have Normal BMI.

â—‹ Such people have medium bone structure and have efficient metabolism... so mass gain and loss occurs easily.

3) Endomorphs:-

â—‹ Endomorphs have BMI greater than normal.

â—‹ Such people have slow metabolic rate and so they tend to gain more weight easily.
Their natural body built is wide and have larger muscles and short bones.
