Don't get fooled by useless marketing. Use ai the way you would use any other piece of technology - with cautious curiosity. Learn to trust professionals. A piece of algorithm cannot determine what's best for you, no matter how convincing it sounds.

A heart procedure doesn’t always mean a "major surgery" or weeks in a hospital bed. In 2026, it looks a lot more like a routine "service" for your most important engine.

I know the word "stent" can sound scary. But the reality of a modern Cath Lab at Apollo CVHF is very different from what you see in movies. There’s no big "cheer-phaad" (surgery), no general anesthesia, and most importantly—no pain.

We go through the wrist (Radial Access), we map your heart with GPS-like precision (Angiography), and we provide the support your artery needs to breathe again.

You are awake: We talk to you throughout the procedure.

The "Wrist" Advantage: You can sit up and have tea almost immediately after.

Fast Forward: Most of my patients walk within 2 hours and head home the very next day.

Still have a "what if" in your mind? Drop them in the comments, and I’ll personally reply to help clear your doubts.

It’s 2:00 AM. You’re feeling a strange heaviness in your chest, and your first thought is: “Was it the late-night Jalebi-Gathiya?”

In India, we have a habit of blaming almost every discomfort on ‘Gas.’ We take an antacid, we wait, and we hope it goes away. But as a cardiologist, I’ve seen too many patients wait too long because they didn't want to "bother" anyone with what they thought was a stomach ache.

Acidity is a nuisance, but a heart attack is an emergency.

- Gas usually feels like a sharp, "poking" pain that moves around.

- Heart pain feels like a heavy stone sitting on your chest.

- Gas gets better with a burp; Heart pain doesn't care about antacids.
It is always better to have a "useless" ECG than to miss a critical window. An ECG at my clinic takes 2 minutes—peace of mind lasts a lifetime.

Celebrating a 'Zero' on your CT Calcium Score? Do not cancel your cardiology appointment just yet.
A score of zero confirms the absence of hard, calcified plaque. It does not mean your arteries are completely clear, and it certainly does not make you immune to a heart attack. Here is the clinical reality that catches many patients off guard:
The Diagnostic Blind Spot: Calcium scans are designed to detect old, hardened plaque (calcium). They are entirely blind to new, soft cholesterol plaque.
The Hidden Danger: It is this undetected "soft plaque" that is highly unstable. When it ruptures, it causes sudden, massive heart attacks—frequently in younger, asymptomatic patients.
The Clinical Rule: A report never overrides your physical reality. If you experience exertional chest heaviness, unexplained fatigue, or breathlessness, you require immediate medical evaluation, regardless of a perfect scan.
A zero score is a positive indicator, but it is not a lifetime guarantee.
Next Steps:
Do not use a single imaging report to dismiss active cardiac symptoms. Schedule a comprehensive clinical evaluation to assess your complete lipid profile and functional capacity.

Would you buy a car without a test drive? 🚗
Then why trust your heart without a Stress Test?
The Logic is simple:
✅ ECG: Shows your heart at peace.
✅ TMT: Shows your heart at work.
Heart attacks happen during "work" (stress, exercise, emotion). So test it where it matters!
If you are 40+, make the TMT your annual birthday gift to yourself. 🎁.

The Pill + Smoking = 🚩🚩🚩

Look, the pill is generally safe. But it’s strong medicine. It changes how your blood clots and how your body handles fat.
My strict advice for my patients?
❌ If you smoke + are 35+: Stop the pill. Immediately. The risk of stroke goes up 10x.
👀 Watch the silent signs: Leg swelling? Bad headaches? Don't ignore them.
Check the numbers: BP and Cholesterol need a quick check once a year.
Stay smart, stay safe. ❤️

Let’s talk about the most popular bottle on every bathroom shelf today: Minoxidil.
I see so many young patients who start using it for hair loss, and then panic when they feel their heart racing.
Here is the Cardiologist’s perspective:
1️⃣ The History:
Fun fact—Minoxidil was originally invented as a high-dose medicine for Blood Pressure! Hair growth was just a side effect. So yes, it does affect the cardiovascular system.
2️⃣ Spray vs. Tablet:
* Topical (Spray/Drops): Generally safe. Very little gets absorbed into the blood. But if you apply too much (thinking more solution = more hair), it can enter your system and drop your BP, causing reflex palpitations. This is especially true if it's done with wet hair.
* Oral (Tablet): This is strong. Never take this without a doctor’s strict supervision. It can cause fluid retention and heart strain.
The Bottom Line:
If you feel dizziness, chest heaviness, or a racing heart after using it—STOP.
Your hair is important for your confidence, but your heart is important for your... well, existence.
Use it, but don't abuse the dosage.

Let’s be honest, we all fall for the fancy packaging. We see "Himalayan" written on the packet and think, "Chalo, yeh healthy hai."
But here is the reality check your kitchen needs:
1️⃣ The Sodium :
⚪ White Salt = ~99% Sodium Chloride
🌸 Pink Salt = ~98% Sodium Chloride
Bas 19-20 ka farak hai. (The difference is negligible). Your kidneys process them exactly the same way.
2️⃣ The Iodine Issue (Important!): ⚠️
White salt is fortified with Iodine—which is crucial for your Thyroid function.
Most Pink Salt is not iodized. So, if you switch completely to pink salt, you aren't just risking high BP, you are also inviting Thyroid issues.
The Verdict?
Don't let the aesthetics fool you. You are paying a premium price for the same sodium, minus the essential Iodine.
Save your money. Buy regular iodized salt. Just use less of it.

Does your heart start racing the second you reach a doctors waiting room?
If your BP is 150/90 in my clinic but 120/80 when you’re watching Netflix at home... You likely have White Coat Hypertension.
It’s a fancy way of saying your body is reacting to the stress of being at the doctor's office. The anxiety triggers a temporary adrenaline spike that skews the numbers.
But here is the catch: We can’t just assume it’s anxiety. We need proof.
1️⃣ Buy a good home BP monitor.
2️⃣ Log your readings for 7 days (morning and evening).
3️⃣ Bring that log to me.
I trust the numbers from your living room more than the ones from my exam room.
