Standards of full automation in blood grouping, antibody screening and quality control are maintained as per norms given in the drugs and cosmetic acts and NABH accreditation. We mostly collect blood from voluntary donors and patients’ relatives and perform transfusion-transmitted infection investigations and blood grouping of collected blood units. The KD hospital Blood bank works 24×7 for the timely supply of blood to patients and is committed to the safety of donors and patients through well-maintained standard operating procedures through continuous quality improvements, well-qualified blood bank staff and usage of the latest technology.
