Alzheimer’s vs Dementia – Know the Difference!
Dementia and Alzheimer’s are often confused, but here’s what you need to know:
✅ Dementia is a general term describing symptoms like memory loss, difficulty reasoning, and challenges in communication or learning. It’s caused by various brain conditions and diseases, and not all types are progressive.
✅ Alzheimer’s Disease is the most common cause of dementia — responsible for 60–80% of cases. It’s a specific brain disorder that leads to gradual memory impairment, cognitive decline, and changes in behavior. Neurons in the brain are affected, making learning and daily tasks harder over time.

All Alzheimer’s cases fall under dementia, but not all dementia cases are Alzheimer’s!
