तन मन का मधु सब रीत चुका
अब मधु केवल मधुसूदन में।

सब दिन जी भर ममता बाटी
तन मय होकर मन मय होकर
प्राणों का सार लुटा डाला
अंतस के जल में धो धो कर
भीतर इतना जल उमड़ा था
कुछ ओर ना था कुछ छोर ना था
जी करता था भर दू सबका घट
जी करता था भर दू सबका घर
अवशेष हुई रस की चर्चा
अब रस केवल रसनंदन में
मत मीत करो मधु की बातें
अब मधु केवल मधुसूदन में ।।
उस छवि को छूकर सिक्‍त हुई
स्‍वप्‍नों की चंचल दाहकता
उस रूप जयी के जादू में
जकडी है मेरी चेतनता
साकार हुआ लालित्‍य स्‍वयं
इन ज्‍योतिरमण सम्‍मोहन में
गीतों में मधु अवशिष्‍ट कहां
अब मधु केवल मधुसूदन में।।

अब प्रीति उसी रसवर्षी में
जीवनधर्मी चिरतंन में
अवशेष नहीं मधु की गाथा
अब मधु केवल मधुसूदन में ।।
