A five year old girl presented with left eye convergent squint since 2 months. Simple cycloplegic refraction ( spectacles power assessment with drops) and wearing spectacles only cured the squint. Also her binocular vision was preserved to a large extent
This is classical example of conservative management of squint which doesn't require operation. it's called 'accommodative esotropia. If there is delay in treatment it leads to vision loss in one eye ( lazy eye/amblyopia) and loss of binocular fubction . Take home message is
