Chronic kidney disease (CKD), whether on dialysis or not.

Chemotherapy-induced anemia in patients with certain types of cancer.

🧬 What is Darbepoetin alfa?

Darbepoetin alfa is a synthetic form of erythropoietin, a hormone naturally produced by the kidneys that stimulates red blood cell production in the bone marrow. It is a long-acting erythropoiesis-stimulating agent (ESA).

💉 How is it given?

Route: Subcutaneous (under the skin) or intravenous (into a vein)

Frequency: Less frequent than epoetin alfa due to its longer half-life

Dosing is individualized based on hemoglobin levels and patient response.
