After cataract surgery a intraocular lens is placed to regain clarity of vision. Sometimes this intraocular lens dislocates and falls down on the retinal surface. This leads to visual loss for the patient and can also lead to many retinal complications. It needs to be removed at the earliest . Diabetic retinopathy can cause severe visual loss due to leaky vessels and haemorrhages on the retina. Subhyaloid haemorrhage can reduce central vision for the patient. It needs to be surgically treated with 25 gauge MIVS vitrectomy using sutureless technology and then further laser treatments can be carried out for the retinopathy.
