Our patient-specific extramedullary jig is an orthopedic instrumentation, designed for the use in joint replacement surgeries of knee and shoulder. This jig is customized to fit the specific anatomy of each patient, ensuring accurate alignment and placement of the prosthetic components. The Arthro3D software throws the data based on the patient’s joints and based on the input, the Jig is generally prepared for the OT to take the surgical landmarking. For knee replacements, this Jig is ‘extramedullary’ and it avoids the intramedullary canal intervension. Similar jig is available for the shoulder surgeries as well.

The reusable extramedullary jigs are made up of stainless steel and can be used multiple times and it provides external reference points and alignment guides, enhancing surgical accuracy and contributing to a better satisfactory quotient to joint replacement surgeons.
