Tuberculosis of cervical spine - Quite often diagnosed late because of complaints of neck pain which is ignored. This 63 year old male patient was unable to walk because of destructive lesion of cervical spine caused by TB. He was operated with anterior followed by a posterior cervical spine surgery.

I’m excited to share that I will be presenting at the prestigious 5th Annual Conference of SMISS-AP (Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery – Asia Pacific) happening from 10th–13th July 2025 at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai.

My presentation is based on surgeon’s ergonomics especially the use of loupes v/s the microscope. And how neck pain is an important professional hazard for spine surgeons and factors which can help prevent it.

It’s a great honor to be part of this world-class scientific exchange.

Nothing feels better than receiving chocolates, especially when they come from a little warrior!

Three months ago, had operated on a 7-year-old who couldn’t walk due to TB of the spine. Today, he’s running, playing, and living his childhood to the fullest!

Timely treatment of spinal TB can truly change lives. Grateful to be a part of this journey! ✨

Had an great experience at POSICON 2025, being part of the pediatric spine session, where I had the opportunity to discuss Tuberculosis of the spine in pediatric patients. It was truly an honor to share the stage and engage in insightful discussions with some of the stalwarts in pediatric spine surgery. Grateful for the opportunity to learn and contribute to such an important field.

Technique and Technology have been ever evolving , but our old friends have always been at our aid.
‘The HALO traction’
A ring around the head which helps in controlled correction of severe spine deformity.
He is one such case with severe scoliosis where halo traction followed by a full surgical correction helped us get expected results.
He also became taller by about 16 cms !!
