Palliative care takes a comprehensive approach to enhance the quality of life for patients dealing with serious illnesses. Regrettably, a number of false beliefs and misconceptions often discourage individuals from seeking the vital support and assistance they genuinely require.
Our distinguished speaker, Dr Manisha Singh, will lead you in an exploration of the complexities of palliative care, highlighting its all-encompassing, patient-focused approach. During this event, we will dispel prevalent misunderstandings, such as the notion that palliative care solely pertains to end-of-life care, and instead underscore its role in enhancing the quality of life throughout the cancer journey. You will gain insight into the diverse ways in which palliative care aids patients and their families, addressing everything from symptom management to emotional and psychological well-being. This session presents a unique opportunity to deepen your comprehension of cancer palliative care, enabling you to make well-informed decisions and offer compassionate support to those affected by cancer.
Dr. Manisha is currently serving as a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at the Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Care and Research Center in Seeb, Oman. With specialized training in oncoanesthesia and palliative care from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, the Indo American Cancer Association, and the Gujarat Cancer Research Institute, Ahmedabad, Dr. Manisha possesses over 20 years of expertise in palliative care and pain management. In addition to her professional work, Dr. Manisha also managed an NGO called Atmaja in Ahmedabad, which provided free palliative care to cancer patients, extending help to countless individuals across India.

🙌🎗️ Aatmaja Cancer Care and Support Centre extends heartfelt thanks to the Rotary Club of Ahmedabad, the oldest club in Ahmedabad, for their incredible donation of not one, but TWO oxygen concentrators! 🌬️💙 These life-saving devices will make a world of difference for patients in need of continuous home oxygen. 🏥🌟

We were honored to receive the concentrators from President Bhuvneahbhai, Secretary Rambhai, Ujjawal Malwankar, and Navroz Tarapore of the Rotary Club. Their support and generosity will directly impact the lives of cancer patients in their time of greatest need.
Our Aatmaja team, comprising Ms. Vindya Ballal, Deepak Gogna, and Jeet Jhaveri, received the oxygen concentrators with immense gratitude.

🩺 Oxygen concentrators play a crucial role in cancer care, providing essential respiratory support to patients undergoing treatment. They ensure a constant supply of oxygen, alleviating breathing difficulties and enhancing the quality of life for those battling cancer. Aatmaja today helped a child ,5 year old Rishi kahar suffering from leukaemia and who is admitted in a critical condition in ICU since last 10 days . His family was incurring huge financial burden. Aatmaja team just tried to ease a little the burden and emotional crisis parents are going through . They will be needing financial help and we are committed to help this small warrior fight this battle . We appeal to all to donate for this child and give back to the society on humanitarian ground …

No matter how long it lives, the Greatest Lion will eventually die miserably. That's the world.

At their Peak, they rule, chase other animals, catch, devour, gulp and leave their crumbs for hyenas. But age comes fast.

The old Lion can't hunt, can't kill or defend itself. It roams and roars until it runs out of luck. It will be cornered by the hyenas, nibbled at and eaten alive by them. They won't even let it die before it is dismembered.

Life is short. Power is ephemeral. Physical beauty is short-lived, I have seen it in lions. I have seen it in old people. I have seen it in the corporate world.

I have seen the so called Powerful CEOs, CFOs and the other Cs who ruled the corporate world with an iron fist, humiliating people left , right and center meet a miserable exit.

Everyone who lives long enough will become weak and very vulnerable at some point.

Therefore, let us be humble. Help the sick, the weak, the vulnerable and most importantly never forget that we will leave the stage one day
