Today's case:

Perforated acute calculus cholecystitis

Impacted calculus seen at neck of over distended gall bladder with echogenic sludge with diffuse wall thickening and inflammation of pericholecystic fat. Focal wall defect seen in superior wall with small collection in GB fossa region. Minimal fluid seen in hepatorenal pouch. Normal CBD seen. No IHBR dilatation.

Breast cancer is one of the most common form of cancer affecting women. If diagnosed early, it is completely curable. However, in many cases it is under diagnosed, due to tumor being small in size in early stages.

A 65 years old female patient came to Wecare Diagnostics with a small 11 x 9 mm sized suspicious Birads IV b lesion in upper outer quadrant of right breast for ultrasound guided tru cut biopsy.

Tru cut biopsy was performed under local anesthesia without any post procedural complications. Histopathology report revealed invasive ductal carcinoma. Patient was operated shortly and was cured of cancer.

A 42 years old male patient presented with acute abdominal pain since 3 days.

On ultrasound done at Wecare Diagnostics, complete portal vein as well as superior mesenteric vein thrombosis was detected. Such critical diagnosis makes significant difference in patient management.
