CHCKEN KORMA- EASY AUTHENTIC RECIPE
Ingredients
Chicken- 500 gms
For Marinate
Ginger- Garlic – Green Chilli paste- 2 tbsp
Salt- 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder- 1 tsp
Haldi- ½ tsp
Lemon Juice- 1 tbsp
For Korma
Onion- 2
Cashew- 2 tbsp
Green Cardamom – 4 no.
Black Cardamom – 1 no.
Javitri/Maze
Clove- 4-5 no.
Star Anis- 1 no.
Cinnamon- 1 inch
Tejpata/ Bay leaf- 2 no.
Red Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Haldi- ½ tsp
Dhaniya Powder- 2 tsp
Green Chilli- 2 no.
Curd- ¼ Cup
Chicken Masala- 1 tbsp
Kashmiri Lal Mirch- 1 tbsp
Kasuri Methi- 1 tsp
Method
• Clean Chicken thoroughly
• Marinate Chicken with Ginger Garlic green chilli paste, Salt, red chilli powder, Haldi, Lemon juice and keep it aside for 30 min
• Fry Onions and make a smooth paste
• Soak Cashews and grind them into smooth paste
• Take a pan, add cooking oil , Cinnamon , Javitri, black cardamom , green cardamom, cloves, star anis, tej patta
• Add Marinated chicken and fry it till chicken is 80% cooked
• Remove fried chicken from the pan
• In the same oil, add red chilli powder, haldi, dhaniya powder and Saute dry masala
• Add warm water into it and let it boil
• Add green chillies, ginger garlic paste, green cardamom, Dalchini, black cardamom, tej patta
• Add fried Chicken and let it cook for 10 min
• Whisk curd with kashmiri lal mirch & Chicken Masala and make a smooth paste
• Add this Curd paste to the chicken and mix well
• Let this cook for 5 min
• Add Onion and cashew paste and Kasoori Methi
• Mix well and cook it on low flame for 10 min
• Add Kewra essence and pinch of sugar for flavouring (optional)
• Stir well
• Chicken Korma is ready to be served with tandoori roti
