"Swasthya" Yash Diabetes Speciality Centre is the first of its kind in the western part of India having state of art technology providing all the speciality services specially related to diabetes “under one roof”. The main aim is to prevent diabetes at primary, secondary and tertiary level. The centre is making constant efforts to achieve excellence in Clinical care, Education & Research. Over 2,00,000 patients treated over a period of 29 years are a living testimony to our dedication in the field. We are also in public health and social activities. All India Institute of Diabetes and Research is a charitable organization working since 2003 for the benefits of millions of people with Diabetes. Our vision is to Cure & Prevent Diabetes. Main aim is awareness, screening for early detection of diabetes and its complications, prevention, treatment, education & rehabilitation for the people with Diabetes. It is our hope that increased global awareness will increase the resources to address and limit the diabetes epidemic. It is the only institution in western part of India, conducting basic and clinical research of international standards on diabetes and related complications. All India Institute of Diabetes and Research is approved by Gujarat University for research & other collaboration. It is approved by U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) Federal Wide Assurance (FWA) for the Protection of Human Subject. Through our constant efforts in the field we have reached more than 20 million people through awareness campaigns. We are working in entire state of Gujarat in association with Government of Gujarat with special focus on difficult to access areas such as Rural, urban slums and Tribal. We have distributed thousands of various kinds of educative materials such as pamphlets, posters, banners, booklets free of cost in general population. We are conducting education program on daily basis for diabetes, which is open for all and free for all. We are organizing lifestyle modification camps, diet exhibitions etc. regularly. We also provide free drugs and other management services (laboratory, indoor facility, consultations etc.) to needy diabetic people. We are providing free education, better clinical care at free/subsidised rate through a dedicated team to treat type 1 children exclusively. We also provide psychological, career and marriage counselling for type 1 diabetic children.
