Important Sonography to be done around 3 months is very important step to be taken in early pregnancy.

It is called : NT / NB Scan (Nuchal Translucency / Nasal Bone)
​Timing: 11 – 13 Weeks (+ 6 days)
​Purpose:
​Chromosomal Screening: Measures the fluid at the back of the baby’s neck (Nuchal Translucency) and checks for the presence of the Nasal Bone. This screens for chromosomal abnormalities like Down Syndrome.
​Early Anatomy: A basic check of early structural development (skull, limbs, abdominal wall).
​Note: This is often combined with a blood test called the Double Marker Test for higher accuracy.
​Second Trimester

It is a screening test & not confirmatory test.
