Kaizen Hospital proudly announces the successful completion of Gujarat’s first robotic telesurgery, performed on 11th February 2026.
The procedure was performed by GI surgeon Dr. Sanjiv Haribhakti, operating remotely from Delhi — nearly 1000 km away — while the on-site surgical and IT teams at Kaizen Hospital provided bedside support.
This landmark achievement was made possible using the SSI Mantra indigenous robotic platform with telesurgery capability, demonstrating that physical distance is no longer a barrier to delivering world-class surgical care.
With 250+ robotic GI surgeries in just 20 months, Kaizen Hospital and Dr. Haribhakti continue to pioneer advanced robotic GI surgery in the region.
This milestone marks the beginning of a new era — not only for patient care but also for remote surgical training and mentorship of young surgeons.
