Cervical cancer remains one of the most common cancers affecting women in India. Fortunately, it is largely preventable with timely vaccination against the Human Papillomavirus Infection.

Dr. Jignesh Shah emphasized that the Human Papillomavirus Vaccine has been administered to millions of individuals worldwide and has proven to be safe and effective. Leading global health authorities, including the World Health Organization, strongly recommend HPV vaccination to prevent cervical cancer.

The vaccine is ideally recommended for girls aged 9–14 years, before exposure to the virus. Vaccination at the appropriate age can significantly reduce the risk of cervical cancer in the future.

Dr. Shah appealed to parents to consult their doctors and consider HPV vaccination for their daughters as an important step toward preventing cervical cancer and safeguarding women’s health.
