Abhumka Farmers Club is an initiative of Abhumka Herbal Pvt Ltd, a social enterprise company deeply engrossed in translation of tribal traditional herbal knowledge into healthcare products and financially acknowledging tribal healer community to raise their socio-economic status.
Unavailability of quality raw material in large quantum at a single point source is the major problem at the moment faced by the big companies manufacturing herbal healthcare and cosmetic products across the globe. Procurement of the right quality material at the right price is the major challenge and constraint in the growth of this sector. Primary objective of Abhumka Farmers Club is to facilitate direct supply of herbs from Farm To Firm. This is done by organic cultivation of medicinal plants by their Tribal farmers under buy back agreement with the healthcare companies. We have 15000 Acre of land in Dangs Gujarat India under this mission. Currently we are going ahead with Turmeric (Curcuma longa) , Ginger (Zingiber officinalis), Air Yam (Dioscorea bulbifera) and Nagli / Ragi (Eleusine coracana). We are looking for Healthcare companies for collaboration.
