Thrilled to share that I participated as Faculty and Speaker at two enriching academic events recently- one which was dedicated towards Sleep Medicine, while the other focused on another branch of Pulmonology - Rigid Bronchoscopy !

🔹 Shilp Sleep Symposium – Ahmedabad

Grateful to Dr. Gopal Raval and the Philips Sleep & Respiratory Care team for the invitation to speak at the Shilp Sleep Symposium.
My session focused on “Utility and Role of Ambulatory Sleep Apnea Testing in comparison to Level 1 Polysomnography”—discussing real-world applicability, patient selection, limitations, and how ambulatory testing can bridge diagnostic gaps while maintaining clinical rigor.
It was encouraging to see active participation and thoughtful discussions around optimizing sleep apnea diagnosis in diverse healthcare settings.

🔹 Rigid Bronchoscopy Workshop – CIMS Hospital

Thankful to Dr. Amit Patel and the entire CIMS Hospital team for organizing an excellent hands-on workshop on Rigid Bronchoscopy.
The lecture on “Role of Rigid Bronchoscopy in Foreign Body Removal” highlighted its critical importance in airway emergencies, decision-making, technique, and team coordination—especially in high-risk and pediatric cases.
Workshops like these are invaluable in reinforcing procedural confidence and patient safety.

Academic forums such as these continue to reinforce the importance of continuous learning, skill sharing, and collaborative growth in pulmonary and sleep medicine.
Truly appreciative of the organizers, colleagues, and participants for the engaging interactions and commitment to clinical excellence.

Looking forward to many more such meaningful academic exchanges.

ACPGCON 2025 & NAPCON 2025 — Weekends of Ideas, Insight, and Inspiration !!

Truly grateful for the privilege of taking the podium at ACPGCON 2025 to speak on a critical question that continues to revolve amongst pulmonologists - Anti-fibrotics in ILD — Prevention or Overtreatment ?

Thoughtful discussions as we explored the fine balance between early intervention and mindful prescribing, reminded me why continuous learning remains the heart of good medicine.

On the other hand, NAPCON 2025 held at Pink city - Jaipur, gave me the privilege to dive into the complexities of “Drug-Induced Pleural Effusion”

A discerning topic that reinforces an essential truth - Every medication we use, carries its own story, and it’s our responsibility, as doctors, to read it thoroughly.

Standing and talking amongst colleagues, mentors, and young minds, was both grounding and energizing. These platforms don’t just help in knowledge sharing, but they shape perspectives, challenge assumptions, and elevate our collective approach towards providing the best patient care.

Grateful for the engagement, the questions, and the camaraderie.
Shall continue to keep learning, sharing and growing with the medical community, to make the world healthier and happier.

Excited to share that our research article titled "Evaluating the Real-world Effectiveness and Safety of Formoterol Fumarate and Fluticasone Propionate Combination in Asthma: A Prospective, Multicenter Study" has been published in the prestigious Journal of the Association of Physicians of India (JAPI).

This study delves into the effectiveness and safety of combining Formoterol fumarate with fluticasone propionate in treating asthma in Indian patients. Our findings show significant improvements in lung function, asthma control, and quality of life for patients using both DPI and MDI inhalers.

Grateful to be part of this important work and to contribute to the ongoing efforts in asthma management in India. 🫁💨

It gives me immense pleasure to share, I have successfully cleared World Sleep Society examination and now recognised as a designated “International Sleep Disorders Specialist” !!

The credit for this achievement entirely goes to my amazing wife Niyati Jalan !! Without her by my side, her constant support and motivation this would not have been possible by any means at all !! She is my lucky charm !! She has been besides me since day one & she brings out the best in me !!

Happy to participate as a Moderator and Panelist at the “Sleep Science Symposium” organised by Dr Kashmira Jhala and deliver a lecture on “Management of Parapneumonic effusion” at the “APA - Pulmo summit” organised by Dr Vaishal Sheth.

Top notch speakers, jam packed audience and immersive learning experience is a perfect recipe for a successful event !!

Happy to share, I was invited as a faculty at the Bronchopulmonary World Congress 2025 and World Conference on Comprehensive Critical Care to chair a session and give hands on training to budding pulmonologists on Cryotherapy and Electrotherapy.

Grateful to Dr Rahul Sharma sir and his team for the invitation. I was an honour to share the space with the leading IP stalwarts from around the globe. It was an amazing learning experience too from the best of the world.
