Japanese Delegation Visits IHSM to Explore Cooperation 🇰🇬 🇯🇵
On September 16, 2025, the International Higher School of Medicine (IHSM) welcomed a delegation from Japan, led by Dr. Shigemi Kitahara, Chairman of the Medical Corporation Kitahara Neurosurgical Institute (KNI). The visit aimed to discuss opportunities for academic, clinical, and research collaboration. Representatives of KNI, Kitahara Medical Strategies International and the Kyrgyz-Japan Center, took part in the program, alongside IHSM Rector Prof. Dr. Stalbek M. Akhunbaev and the university’s leadership.
The program began with welcoming speeches and presentations on IHSM’s academic and research activities, followed by an introduction to the Japanese organizations’ initiatives and partnership prospects. Guests also toured IHSM’s lecture halls and laboratories to become acquainted with the academic environment.
The visit concluded at the IHSM University Hospital “VEDANTA”, where the delegation learned about its role in education and healthcare delivery. Discussions focused on potential joint clinical projects and collaborative research initiatives, laying the groundwork for long-term cooperation between IHSM and Japanese institutions.
