Quarantine can teach us a lot, especially how to SLOW DOWN and enjoy the more 'mundane' aspects of life that maybe before we took for granted. I've been doing some self work this past few weeks.

I'm so thankful for the opportunity
🔷to go within,
🔷ask myself some difficult questions, &
🔷sit with them until answers arose.

Times are tough, but each moment of turmoil can be absolutely graceful if we can learn to frame it the right way.

It’s also an excellent opportunity to practice compassion and intimacy without being physically close. Can we be close to people in our hearts and minds when we can’t touch them or see them in the flesh?

I hope that every living being is doing great & taking care of themselves & there family members, and that everyone manages to see some light and hope in the midst of all the chaos and confusion. Better to light fires than curse the darkness. Stay safe, peaceful and compassionate.

I feel great, I am thankful for everything & excited to keep evolving together. 💙

We have all been shifted into a place out of comfort zone, some feeling it much more than others. Having to shed old practices, ways of being, living, and even day to day work can be a huge challenge.

There are a lot of memes flying around about taking advantage of this “opportunity” to do more, be productive, learn a new skill, or start that business.

What’s missing from that message is EMPATHY. •Empathy and validation for the fact that many of us are coming up against a lot of fear, trauma, and uncertainty.•

And when our survival is threatened (which right now it is), sometimes we can’t feel all that inspired.

•Right now, some people are just trying to regulate their nervous systems and sleep through the night, feed themselves, or find ways to keep their kids entertained while they’re wondering how they’re going to keep it together.•

It’s ok if you are feeling the weight of your world being turned upside down and you’re doing whatever you can just to get through the day.

You have every right to feel how you’re feeling and to do what you need to do for your own well being at this time.

These strange times can bring up the darkest of our thoughts.
And yet it’s an opportunity for us to see the mind and become curious about ourselves.

This can feel exhausting, frustrating, and emotionally draining.

Yet, at some point when the clarity of the lesson breaks through, we can see the beauty behind the mess.

☽ Be gentle with yourself. You are doing a great job.

Keep breathing. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Feel free to contact, I would love to help. We’ll get through this together.
Much love, Iksh*ta Tandon
