Transforaminal Nerve Root Block

In this block I give injection of local numbing agent over nerve root which are compressed due to Prolapse Disc. Disc Prolapse lead to compression and swelling over nerve root so patient have tingling, numbness, heaviness of one or both lower limb. This Transforaminal Nerve Root Block is given under live Xray machine to identify that compressed nerve root and after confirmation we are giving local numbing agent to reduce swelling and inflammation of Nerve Root.

This procedure is done under local anaesthesia and no requirement of hospitalisation.

Trigeminal Neuralgia also called as Suicidal Disease. In this, patient have Severe throbbing, electric shock like pain on one side of face. It is aggravated with chewing, brushing or even with air. It is usually clinically diagnosed but to rule out other causes, pain physician will do MRI. Treatment of this disease is with medicine and if not improved then under local anaesthesia Radiofrequency Ablation Of Trigeminal Nerve. With this procedure patient will be pain free within few days.
