હાલમાં ચીનમાં માનવ મેટાન્યુમોવાઈરસ(HMPV)ના કેસો જોવા મળી રહ્યા છે.
આરોગ્ય મંત્રી શ્રી ઋષિકેશ પટેલે આ અંગે વિગતો આપતા જણાવ્યું હતું કે,હ્યુમન મેટાન્યુમોવાઈરસ (HMPV) એ કોઈ નવો વાઈરસ નથી, વર્ષ ૨૦૦૧થી આ વાઈરસની ઓળખ થયેલ છે.

ગુજરાત રાજ્યનું આરોગ્ય અને પરિવાર કલ્યાણ વિભાગ આ વાઇરસને લઈને તમામ તૈયારીઓ અને વ્યવસ્થાઓ સાથે સચેત છે. આરોગ્ય વિભાગ દ્વારા અગમચેતીના ભાગરૂપે તા. ૪ જાન્યુઆરી ના રોજ બેઠક કરીને રાજ્યના દરેક જિલ્લાના દરેક CDHO, MoH, સિવિલ સર્જન, SDH સુપ્રીન્ટેન્ડન્ટને આ વાઇરસના ચેપ સંબંધિત બાબતો પર સંપૂર્ણ ધ્યાન રાખવા સૂચના આપવામાં આવી છે.
ગુજરાતમાં HMPV વાઈરસ સંબંધિત કેસના નિદાન માટે રાજ્યની ડિસ્ટ્રિક્ટ હોસ્પિટલ થી લઇ મેડિકલ કૉલેજ સંલગ્ન હોસ્પિટલ અને સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલ ખાતે વ્યવસ્થા ઊભી કરવામાં આવનાર છે. આગામી અઠવાડિયાથી રાજ્યમાં પણ આ કેસનું નિદાન થઈ શકશે.

સામાન્ય નાગરિકોએ હ્યુમન મેટાન્યુમોવાઈરસ (HMPV)થી ગભરાવવાની જરૂર નથી, પરંતુ વાઇરસના લક્ષણો સમજીને તેના ચેપ સાથે સંબંધિત બાબતો જાણવી અને અપનાવવી જરૂરી છે.

- મેટાન્યુમોવાઈરસ (HMPV) અન્ય શ્વસન વાયરસ જેવો જ વાયરસ છે.
- વર્ષ ૨૦૦૧થી આ વાઈરસની ઓળખ થયેલ છે.
- આ વાઈરસ શિયાળાની ઋતુ દરમિયાન ખાસ કરીને નાના બાળકો અને વૃદ્ધોમાં દેખાય છે અને તેના લક્ષણોમાં સામાન્ય શરદી અને ફલુનો સમાવેશ થાય છે.

*મેટાન્યુમોવાઈરસ (HMPV)ના લક્ષણો દેખાય તો શું કરવું (Do's) ?*
- જ્યારે ઉધરસ અથવા છીંક આવે ત્યારે મોઢું અને નાકને રૂમાલ અથવા ટિસ્યુથી ઢાંકવું.
- નિયમિત રીતે હાથ સાબુ અને પાણીથી ધોવાં કે સેનેટાઈઝરનો ઉપયોગ કરવો.
