A silence that hides osteoporosis — a condition that quietly weakens bones until it takes away mobility, confidence, and independence.

This World Osteoporosis Day, the global theme “It’s Unacceptable” served as a powerful reminder: It’s unacceptable to let bone health awareness stop halfway.

At Intas, we carried this message to where it’s needed most — old age homes across nine cities in India. Here, the elderly remain most vulnerable to osteoporosis, yet least informed about its warning signs. Many endure pain and fractures in silence, mistaking them as part of aging rather than as symptoms of a treatable disease. Through free bone check-ups, interactive awareness sessions, and meaningful conversations, we turned empathy into action.

And as World Osteoporosis Day coincided with Diwali, we celebrated not just the light of the festival, but also the light of knowledge, dignity, and care.
Because lighting a lamp means little — if it doesn’t light a life.
