Dr. Hemaxi Ambani ( pain specialist, head of pain management wing ) has been an important part of the hospital since it was formed. Dr. Dhaval Mehta along with Dr. Namrata Shah and Dr. Piyush Patel are I charge at the physiotherapy center. Dr. Khevna Soni provides her services as an in house dietician . PULSE RADIO FREQUENCY of SUPRASCAPULAR NERVE for FROZEN SHOULDER.

1) No steroid injection.
2) Under local Anesthesia.

Patients who get temporary relief from supra scapular nerve block are suitable for supra scapular nerve pulsed radio frequency treatment.This is likely to provide longer-term pain relief.

The procedure is done on an outpatient basis. The procedure is performed under IITV guidance to ensure the accuracy of needle placement. Specialized equipment including radio frequency machine, probe, and RF needle is utilized to heat the nerve up to a temperature of 42°C. Generally local anesthetic is injected around the nerve following nerve ablation. The local anesthetic is responsible for immediate pain relief, whereas pulsed radio frequency takes 4 to 6 weeks to provided sustained pain relief. Pain relief from pulsed radio frequency ablation of the supra scapular nerve can last between 6 months to 24 months.
