Navratri Recipes | Sakarkandi Chaat Vrat Recipes

Today we’re making Shakarkandi Chaat – the perfect fasting special! This chatpati chaat is just what you need during Navratri. Delicious, nutritious, and ideal for everyone who is fasting. 🍠✨It’s a mix of sweet, spicy, and tangy flavors – a great snack to enjoy while keeping up with the festive vibes!

Ingredients:
- 2-3 medium-sized shakarkandi (sweet potatoes)
- 1 tsp rock salt (sendha namak)
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder (jeera)
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
- Pomegranate seeds for garnish

Instructions:
1. Boil or Roast Sweet Potatoes: Boil the shakarkandi for 15-20 minutes or roast at 180°C for 25-30 minutes. Let cool and peel.
2. Chop: Dice the cooked sweet potatoes into cubes.
3. In a pan heat 1 tbsp ghee, roast sweet potatoes untill it turns crispy and golden brown.
4. Mix: In a bowl, transfer roasted potatoes add salt, pepper, cumin powder, amchoor powder and coriander. Toss everything together.
4. Garnish: Top with pomegranate seeds for added crunch.
5. Serve: Enjoy this healthy, delicious snack during your fast!
