I am happy to share that I have been awarded the certificate of training in palliative care after 1.5 year long rigorous training jointly organised by Asia Pacific Hospice Palliative care Network, Singapore and AIIMS, New Delhi.

Palliative care aims to enhance quality of life, honoring dignity, and supporting emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being during life’s most vulnerable moments by compassionate, holistic support to patients and their families.

Through this training, I aim to improve the way we care for patients facing serious illness—ensuring their voices are heard, their comfort prioritized, and their journeys respected.

Grateful to Dr Sushma Bhatnagar mam (ex HOD, palliative medicine, AIIMS, New Delhi) for this opportunity.

It remains theme based. This year's theme was: TEN YEARS SINCE
THE RESOLUTION:
HOW ARE WE DOING?
10 years back WHO included palliative care as an integral part of comprehensive patient care and universal health coverage.
In this series:
1. Department published news article in various newspapers for public awareness about the importance of palliative care.
2. Department conducted CNE for staff nurses and nursing students on topic: role of staff nurses in palliative care.
3. Department conducted advocacy in satellite hospital and introduced doctors and staffs about palliative care and it's importance.

30 yrs old female with 2.5 yrs history of neck pain with psychosocial impact with failed conservative management diagnosed as C4-5 IDD on mri, given c arm guided interlaminar cervical epidural block.
