Recently did a high risk case of bladder tumor (12.8 x 10.5 mm, Rt Lateral Wall) in 68 yr male patient on Cardiac Pacemaker.
Tumor resected enbloc transurethraly with Thulium Laser.
Anaesthesiologist:- Dr Neha S Agrawal
Advantages of Thulium Laser Resection:-
- Absolutely no interference to pacemaker activity during Surgery
- No Risk of Obturator Jerk
- Patient was re-started on antiplatelet very next day of Surgery

42 year male presented with lower abdominal pain and straining while urination and nocturia 2-3/night.
On investigation sonography and x ray suggested large bladder stone (7.5 cm) with prostatic stone (1.4 cm). Cystoscopy with bladder biopsy + open cystolithotomy was done.
Patient discharged on Day 4 with foley in situ and foley removed on day 28. Patient voided well.
Ironically patient had symptoms due to small prostatic calculus which caused partial obstruction. While large bladder stone was growing silently.
