Dr Hahnemann's work compels my admiration for his deep child like faith in the Creator, his love and sympathy for all living things and, above all, the great heartedness of a nature truly good. I see in Hahnemann the genuine humanist. Sharing few words of the genius himself which he wrote as his oath to the Physician's calling
" I will prescribe for the sick the treatment which, in the light of my knowledge, seems best suited to them. I will defend them against everything harmful or unjust.... I will keep my life pure and holy, and also my art. I will never cut anyone for stone, but will leave that operation to those whose business it is. When I enter a house, it shall always be to attend the sick, keeping myself clean of all injustice and corruption."
This is what Hahnemann teaches us in his work at the age of 20; and in the fullness of life he affirms it in his letter of September 2,1829 to Dr. Aegidi:
" When I began my quest for the means of giving comfort to suffering humanity and change the harmful therapy then in use, I never looked for any material rewards. I merely did that which the Great Spirit, who is all, gave me mind and strength to do, and the joy of duty done gave me so rich a reward in the meed of gladness I felt at every step that I should never have dreamed of any reward other than that."
Let's read our Master's word and writings and live the true essence of being a Hahnemannian physician so we don't distract from our main calling as a physician which Our master taught us in his writings.
Happy World Homoeopathy Day. Happy birthday to master Hahnemann. Let's Unite as homoeopaths and learn from Hahnemann his gift of observation and consistent reasoning, as well his understanding of human anatomy and appreciate his message he gave to the Homoeopathy family.
