His first paper dealt with the intricacies of mechanical ventilation and a correlation between the intra-thoracic pressure and intra- abdominal pressure was established highlighting the ill effects of mechanical ventilation in patients with existing abdominal pathology. His other paper, presented by his postgraduate student, Dr. Shivani Agarwal, dealt with the simplified way of analyzing the biochemical status of a patient and also established Ringers lactate a better fluid especially when large volume of fluid has to be infused.
