PCOS( Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) is a polygenic and multifactorial metabolic disease of adolescent and reproductive age group disease of unknown etiology ...characterised by insulin resistance ,irregularities in me**es ,excessive hair growth on body,weight gain and many more....preventive measures is the main stay of treatment by maintaining a healthy life style, avoiding junk food and regular exercise....We Asians come under high risk group..so awareness is must and by adopting a healthy life style we can combat this disease .If left untreated , can have detrimental metabolic side effects layer in life.
