ASD is a hole in heart which is present by birth and if untreated can cause bluish discolouration of skin in long term.
It can be treated by a trained cardiologist by device most of the times except very large ASD which needs closure by surgeons.
Today I did ASD. DEVICE closure of 15 yr old boy who came to me in OPD worh complaints of easy fatigue and breathlessness on climbing stairs
ECG showed RBBB so echo was done which showed a 26 mm OS ASD. Closed by 32 mm device.
So dont be afraid of HEART HOLES anymore they can be very well treated.
Identify symptoms and visit nearest cardiologist
