Compared to manual wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs require minimal physical effort, reducing fatigue and shoulder strain. They allow greater independence, especially for long distances and uneven surfaces. Speed, seating position, and comfort can be easily adjusted. Electric wheelchairs are ideal for users with severe disability, enabling better mobility, improved posture support, and enhanced quality of life with less dependence on caregivers.

Wrist dorsiflexion splint (also called wrist extension splint) is an orthotic device used to maintain the wrist in functional extension (≈20–30°).

Indications
• Wrist drop (radial nerve palsy)
