With deep sorrow, I share the heartbreaking news that my beloved father, Dr. Gopalakrishnan Pillai, is no more. He breathed his last and left for his heavenly abode.

He was not just an extraordinary doctor who healed and helped countless people during his lifetime, but also an amazing soul whose kindness, humility, and wisdom touched everyone who knew him.

To me, he was the best father anyone could ask for — a guiding light, a pillar of strength, and my greatest inspiration. To my mother, he was the most loving and devoted husband. To our family, he was our heartbeat. And to everyone who crossed his path, he was deeply loved and respected.

He always prayed that everyone around him would remain happy, healthy, and blessed — and may those prayers continue to live on and protect all of us. His legacy will forever remain in the lives he saved, the love he gave, and the values he instilled.

May I, Dr. Sanjay Pillai, have the energy, strength, and power to continue his legacy and make him — and all our loved ones — proud.

The dates of the last rites and funeral will be announced later, as my elder brother is yet to arrive from Australia.

Rest in peace, Papa. Your love, compassion, and guidance will stay with us forever. ♥️🙏

New peer-reviewed research quantitatively proves that EECP is beneficial for patients with diabetic foot.

A groundbreaking peer reviewed study published 2 days ago (Aug 22, 2025) in Physics of Fluids has now conclusively shown that Enhanced External Counter Pulsation (EECP) can significantly improve leg hemodynamics.

The research demonstrates that EECP treatment substantially increases blood flow volume in the lower extremity arteries of patients with diabetic foot.

This therapy helps create a healthier environment within the arteries by increasing Time-Averaged Wall Shear Stress (TAWSS) and reducing Relative Resident Time (RRT), which may help lessen the risk of plaque buildup.

Essentially, EECP provides the vascular benefits of exercise without the physical strain, making it a promising alternative for patients who find activity difficult due to ulcers or neuropathy.

It was an honour to be invited as the Chief Guest at Amrita Vidyalayam, Perumbavoor, on 15th May 2025, alongside MLA Adv. Shri Eldhose Kunnappally and Shri N. Mohanan Nair, for the celebration of the outstanding achievements of CBSE Class 10th and 12th students.
It was truly inspiring to witness the exceptional academic performance, with all students successfully passing the examinations and many securing commendable marks.
