ABOUT THE TEACHING HOSPITALS
K. E. M. Hospital is the largest hospital in Asia with over 1800 beds. Department of Ortopaedics has six units & a total of about 300 beds. This hospital handles a very large volume of outdoor & indoor patients. The theatre have a laminar airflow and are well equipped. There is a separate spinal surgery operating theatre and a separate emergency trauma theatre along with the routine orthopaedic theatre. Cooper hospital is the largest peripheral hospital in Bombay with about 100 beds in Orthopaedics handling all types of orthopaedic work including spine, Arthroscopy & Paediatric Orthopaedics.
