An ectopic pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg implants and grows outside the main cavity of the uterus.The fertilized egg can't survive, and the growing tissue may cause life-threatening bleeding, if left untreated.
Surgical treatment through laparoscopy is the best approach in hemodynamically stable patients.

Seek emergency medical help if you have any signs or symptoms of an ectopic pregnancy, including:

-Severe abdominal or pelvic pain accompanied by vaginal bleeding
-Extreme lightheadedness or fainting
-Shoulder pain

This definitely calls for a celebration!!!
They waited for this moment for years.They had experienced many years of grief, sorrow and disappointments. They underwent 7 pregnancy losses. They had almost lost the hope of becoming parents.
They had consulted many doctors in many cities. Again they expressed their faith and hope on us and tried for the eighth time.
I was as concerned as the parents .My responsibilities had increased far more. It was a roller coster ride of 9 mnths for us.Our hard work finally paid off .And here they are blessed with the most beautiful baby girl. Their parents are the most happiest people right now.
We couldn't resist but celebrate this rare moment. Moments like these motivate us to work and try harder for our patients.
