Hypersensitivity to Visual Stimuli:
Some individuals with autism experience hypersensitivity to visual stimuli, finding bright lights and intricate patterns overwhelming. Simple tasks in visually busy environments become challenging, leading to sensory overload. Creating sensory-friendly spaces with dimmer lighting and minimal visual clutter can alleviate discomfort and promote engagement.

Hyposensitivity to Visual Stimuli:
Conversely, others may have hyposensitivity, exhibiting a reduced response to visual input. They may seek out intense visual stimulation and struggle with tasks like recognizing facial expressions. Providing sensory accommodations and engaging in visual processing therapy can help improve sensitivity and perception skills.
