Case of apicectomy.
Every tooth has a root that keeps it anchored in the jawbone. The tip of the root is where the blood vessels and the nerve enter and reach the center of the tooth. A persistent infection that recurs after trauma to tooth may require an apicoectomy. This is a surgical solution which helps saving the tooth. In such situations, the removal of the root apex, or an apicoectomy during root canal treatment, is the only way to save the tooth.

चांदुर-बाजार मधील मधान येथील कस्तुरबा आश्रम शाळेत सिपना इंजिनिअरिंग कॉलेज यांच्या NSS कॅम्प च्या सहकार्याने मुख कर्करोग व दंतरोग मोफत तपासणी शिबीराचे आयोजन दि. 14 डिसेंबर रोजी करण्यात आले होते. शिबिरात मुख व दंत आरोग्य व मुख कर्करोग यावर अमरावतीचे डॉ आदित्य मार्कंडेय व डॉ अनुरूप काळे यांनी मार्गदर्शन केले. या शिबिराचा 150 हुन अधिक गावकऱ्यांनी लाभ घेतला. हे शिबीर आयोजन करण्यात सिपना कॉलेज NSS चे श्री गुलहाने सर, श्री अभिनव कडू सर व त्यांचे विद्यार्थी यांचे मोलाचे सहकार्य लाभले.
