Being a part of Bengaluru arthroscopy (BAC) course is a matter of pride in itself.

I’m happy to share that I participated in 3rd edition of BAC which concluded recently. Wherein I delivered a talk on
- Locked posterior dislocation of shoulder
- Portal placement in cuff repair
- Double row cuff repair
And moderated a live surgery on arthroscopic bankart repair.

It was a pure academic extravaganza . The enthusiasm of the delegates could be appreciated from the full halls from morning to evening. Even in the sunset masterclasses there was hardly any place to sit. This indicated the zeal to learn and master the art of arthroscopy.

I congratulate Dr Chirag Thonse who organised such a beautifully planned meeting.Looking forward to many more.

Ending the first quarter of 2025 with large amount of knowledge sharing. It was great pride and honour to be part of various ground breaking educational meetings as faculty.

The year started with a

Talk show on sports injury treatment in Prime Asia Canada representing India on foreign lands.

Followed by one of its kind L*D arthroscopy (organised by my alma mater ;SRMC) meeting in Chennai; where I spoke about femoral tunnel accurate placement in ACL reconstruction and spacer balloon (In space balloon) in massive irreparable cuff tears.

In February, travelled all the way to IASONE Patna, delivered a talk on all inside meniscus repair and conducted a panel discussion on meniscus repair and surgery.

In March 2025, participated as instructor in POACON Chandigarh

I was part of cadaveric meeting and workshop held at SGRD medical college Amritsar, where I spoke on management of massive irreparable cuff tears and the demonstrated live cadaveric implantation of Spacer balloon.

This followed a complex case discussion at master case series in Delhi. it was good to present a difficult case of floating aIGHL (HAGL + Bankart) with almost 2 years follow up to camadeire of doyens of shoulder surgery.

Flew to Bombay at AOPC to talk on complications of ACL surgery and be part of panel discussion to an elite group of physiotherapists. it was amazing to see 300 physiotherapists gathering at 8:00 am on Sunday. The zeal and enthusiasm to learn was incredible.

April 2025 started with hosting combined IASONE & CACRC Amritsar where I performed a live surgical demonstration on double level osteotomy.

This followed to be part of PKC 2025 at fireside chat session and spoke on different techniques of doing LET (Lateral extraarticular tenodesis). PKC as always is much awaited meeting for orthopaedic surgeons. Where everyone of us learns something new.

Last but not the least was the discussion on slope correction osteotomies and meniscus autograft reconstructions at Indian spinal injury institute in Delhi.

All this participation brings lot of learning, indirectly benefitting our patients by bringing them best of the treatments which are at par with international standards.

Combined IASONE Amritsar & CACRC 2025 held on 6th April 2025 in Amritsar ended on high note.

The event was jam packed with academics related to knee ligamentous injuries and joint preservation surgery.The interaction between national /regional faculty and delegates made it fruitful for all those who attended.

It is always a pleasure to team up with my friend Dr. Siddharth Aggarwal and organise meeting in which everyone has something to learn.

I had an opportunity to present my favourite topic on a cost-effective technique for meniscus repair (so cost is no barrier to treatment) and perform a joint-preserving double-level osteotomy (HTO+ DFO) along with meniscus balancing in a young female.

I thank all those who worked tirelessly to make it a huge success. Special thanks to my OPD and OT staff, who made the flow of live surgeries so seamless. Support from our better halves made it look easier to work. Also, team Smith and Nephew should be applauded for active participation.

In our fast-paced lives when it is difficult to take time for our fitness; Sports, ligament injuries, muscle strains and nagging pains have taken a toll on our activities of daily living.

On my short visit to Canada, It was a great honour to feature in Prime Asia Canada to discuss about joint pain, lifestyle issues, sports and ligament injury.

A big thanks to Mandeep Bhaji who on short notice made it possible. Also, I’m grateful to Prime Asia Canada for airing the talk show to benefit the Punjabi community staying in Canada and other countries.

A Journey to Recovery II Revision arthroscopic surgeryII🌟

Meet Mr. Sukh Bahadur, from Mizoram; a resilient fighter who faced immense challenges after a previous knee meniscus surgery. Synovitis, pain and an infection left him unable to walk or bend his knee. 🦵

He approached Dr. Inderdeep Singh (IDee) at Amandeep Medicity. After a thorough evaluation, Dr. IDee recommended arthroscopic revision surgery to get rid of his infection and save the meniscus. 👨‍⚕️🩺

With a dedicated care post surgery, the infection was completely treated, and Mr. Bahadur regained the ability to walk and bend his knee! 👏✨

Ms Kamaljeet Kaur struggled with significant walking difficulties due to a Grade 3 meniscus tear in her knee.

Glad to see her recover with an appropriate meniscus/knee-saving procedure.
Meniscus or the cushions of the knee are often thought to be a vestigial structure of the knee so it was commonly removed. However, over the years research has proved that saving the meniscus delays the onset of osteoarthritis so it should be preserved instead of removed.
