She started her practice as a Gynaecologist in 1970. She pursued medical practice in Government and Army assignment for 8 years. In 1994 she started the first IVF and infertility centre at Amritsar. She was also the first Gynaecologist in Amritsar to start the concept of surrogate motherhood. Till date she continues to be one of the leading infertility specialists of Punjab. She is a pioneer in hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.
