This month’s educational master class was held on 6 th July 2025 at Sukhsagar Hospital by Dr. AJS Nagpal .

Dr Nagpal discussed the issue of good control of diabetes with the patients.

He made an interesting observation that only controlling the blood glucose levels is not enough.

For a good outcome one needs to look at some other parameters which definitely affect morbidity the mortality.

For this Dr Nagpal gave a very good mnemonic called ABC.A means average blood glucose. B means blood pressure.
C means cholesterol .

For a better outcome , average blood sugar which is also called glycosylated hemoglobin should be below 7% , the blood pressure should be below 130 / 80 and the cholesterol levels should be within the prescribed ranges.

Another very important point to see is albumin in the urine it is called microalbuminuria .It should be well within the prescribed range

During the master class, free blood glucose testing was performed. Other investigations were done at a big discount.

The monthly educational and awareness Masterclass about Diabetes was held on 1st of june 2025 at Sukh Sagar Hospital. Dr. AJS NAGPAL discussed various targets to be met by patients of Diabetes Mellitus.
He stressed upon the need to understand what we have to achieve in life. If we don't have a plan, we can't achieve anything of value.
He informed the patients that first of all we should achieve control of fasting sugar levels.
After that he discussed Targets of HbA1c, Lipids, Creatinine and other various parameters.
The moral of the story was that setting Targets makes the goals visible amd achievable.
