The safest sleep position for a baby is on their back. This is crucial to reduce the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
Here’s why back sleeping is recommended:
Reduces SIDS risk:
Though prone position is good for baby, it increases the risk of SIDS. So always nurse the baby in their back position to avoid such risk of death.
Maintains airway:
Back sleeping keeps the baby’s airway clear and unobstructed.
We recommend to use shoulder roll of 1-1.5 itch to keep airway straighten so baby can breathe without difficulty.
Always place your baby on their back to sleep, for naps and at night.
