Pregnancy tests are often recommended in the morning because of how they detect pregnancy.

1. hCG is more concentrated in the morning

Pregnancy tests detect a hormone called hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in urine.
• Overnight, you usually don’t drink fluids.
• Your urine becomes more concentrated.
• That means hCG levels are higher and easier to detect, especially in early pregnancy.

2. It helps catch early pregnancy

In very early pregnancy, hCG levels are still low.
Using first-morning urine increases the chance of detecting those small amounts and reduces the risk of a false negative.

🚰 Why later in the day may be less reliable

If you:
• Drink a lot of water
• Test in the afternoon or evening

Your urine may be diluted, which can lower the detectable hCG concentration.

The “golden period” in pregnancy usually means the second trimester, which runs from about week 13 to week 28.
It’s called “golden” because for many people, it’s the most comfortable and enjoyable phase of pregnancy.
Here’s why:
1.Morning sickness often eases or disappears
2.Energy levels improve (less exhaustion than the first trimester)
3.Risk of miscarriage drops significantly compared to early pregnancy
4.Appetite returns, and food aversions may fade
5.Baby bump becomes visible, but mobility is still easy
6.Emotional balance improves as hormones settle
7.You may start feeling baby movements (quickening), which is reassuring and exciting

Doctors also consider it a good time for:
• Traveling (with medical clearance)
• Prenatal exercise and yoga
• Planning and preparing for the baby
• Many routine scans and tests

That said, every pregnancy is different—some people feel great earlier or later, and that’s totally normal.
