“Our Experience in Managing Burns Over 60% TBSA – Challenges, Strategies & Outcomes”

It’s “The Most Challenging Task” to save the burns patient having more than 60% TBSA Burns, especially in Indian scenario with many difficulties regarding various financial, social & infrastructure issues about burns care!

It is a privilege to present our clinical journey from Bembde Hospital since 1999, share lessons learned over the years, and discuss practical approaches that can help improve the survival and quality of life of patients with extensive burn injuries.

Looking forward to connecting with plastic surgeons, burn surgeons, intensivists and colleagues across the Asia-Pacific region for an insightful academic exchange.

💫 दिवाळीत चेहऱ्याच्या भाजण्यांपासून संरक्षण आणि त्वचेची काळजी टिप्स 💫
🎆 प्रतिबंध हाच सर्वोत्तम उपाय – सुरक्षिततेने साजरी करा दिवाळी!
1️⃣ फटाके फोडताना किमान ५–६ फूट अंतर ठेवा.
2️⃣ फटाके पेटवताना त्यांच्यावर वाकू नका.
3️⃣ कृत्रिम (सिंथेटिक) कपडे टाळा – सुती कपडे वापरा, कारण कृत्रिम कपडे पटकन पेट घेतात.
4️⃣ केस बांधा आणि सैल ओढणी किंवा स्कार्फ टाळा.
5️⃣ रॉकेट किंवा अनार पेटवताना संरक्षणात्मक चष्मे (गॉगल्स) वापरा.
6️⃣ आपत्कालीन परिस्थितीसाठी पाण्याची बादली किंवा ओला टॉवेल जवळ ठेवा.
7️⃣ मुलांवर लक्ष ठेवा – त्यांना एकट्याने फटाके फोडू देऊ नका.

🌼 चेहऱ्याला भाजले असल्यास त्वरित त्वचेची काळजी घ्या 🔥

🚰 1️⃣ जळलेला भाग त्वरित थंड करा!
थंड (बर्फासारखे थंड नाही) आणि स्वच्छ पाणी किमान २० मिनिटे हलक्या प्रवाहात ओता.
👉 कधीही टूथपेस्ट, तूप किंवा घरगुती उपाय लावू नका!

🧴 2️⃣ फोड किंवा जळलेली त्वचा काढू नका.
त्या भागावर स्वच्छ, ओलसर कापड किंवा निर्जंतुक गॉज ठेवा.

🚑 3️⃣ त्वरित डॉक्टरांकडे जा!
चेहऱ्याची त्वचा नाजूक असते — प्लास्टिक सर्जन किंवा बर्न्स स्पेशालिस्टकडून लवकर उपचार घेतल्यास जखम लवकर भरते आणि डाग कमी राहतात.

🌿 4️⃣ त्वचा स्वच्छ व ओलसर ठेवा.
फक्त डॉक्टरांनी सांगितलेले सौम्य मलम किंवा हायड्रोजेल ड्रेसिंग वापरा.

☀️ 5️⃣ सूर्यप्रकाशापासून त्वचेचे संरक्षण करा.
जखम बरी झाल्यावर ब्रॉड-स्पेक्ट्रम सनस्क्रीन वापरा, जेणेकरून त्वचेवर काळे डाग किंवा डागांची छाया राहणार नाही.

२०१३ पासून घरगुती हिंसा, भाजल्या जाण्याच्या किंवा इतर दुखापतीमुळे कार्यात्मक विकृती झालेल्या दुर्दैवी महिला रुग्णांना “मोफत पुनर्रचनात्मक प्लास्टिक शस्त्रक्रिया” उपलब्ध करून देत आहेत.

Bembde Hospital & International Humanitarian Mission “Reconstructing Women International “ (RWI) ) are providing “Free Reconstructive Plastic Surgery “ for the unfortunate female victims of domestic violence , burns & injuries having various functional deformities since 2013.

This 7th charity mission & free camp will be conducted from 21st to 28th September 2025 at Bembde Hospital Ch. Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad).

Surgeries will be done for :
1)Post Burn Deformities & Contractures
2)Post Burn severe scarring
3)Deformities due to acid Burn
4)Deformities due to accidental injuries
5)Deformities due to infections.
